Other sculptor´s work at the third Oberurseler Sculptors Symposium (2013, August 9th until 18th)
Here the work of the artist Christine Jasmin Niederndorfer.
She is a master stonemason by profession, living and working in Oberursel. She was not a formal participant of the Symposium. But as one of the initiators and organisors of the Symposium she was invited to join in and work with the participants at the same place. Since a couple of years she is working on a monument for the victims of the Nazi regime in Oberursel. The design was a work of a school pupil from town, which is cut in stone by Christine Jasmin Niederndorfer. Here is a shot of the current status of the work: www.opferdenkmal-oberursel.org…
As can be seen, she is working on a figure in grief, giving shelter to a small child.
She is working in limestone.
